Burro strips the sneaker down to essentials — no toe cap, no counter, nothing standing between the foot and the road.

The upper is hand-buffed calf leather in aged walnut, sourced from Tuscan tanneries a few kilometres from our workshop; the buffing leaves a used effect that deepens with wear; left unlined but for a padded, lined heel tab, with a raw-cut edge along the outer side and leather laces. A soft rubber sole with a share of latex runs underfoot, sole 2.5–3.5 cm. Made in Italy.

Includes an extra pair of leather laces.

Each pair comes with an extra set of leather laces, specially finished to achieve a supple yet substantial feel. They can be easily trimmed to the desired length, to refresh a product made to last.

Product Care

To care for your Buttero shoes, gently wipe away dirt with a damp cloth or sponge, then nourish the leather with a light application of natural wax, buffing with a soft cloth to restore its shine. Keep your shoes away from excessive heat or moisture. Should they get wet, blot away any excess water and allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature.
