Tanino is Buttero's hero sneaker, on the shelves since 2013 and still the model most people reach for first — raw-cut edges, two stitch points at the toe, brass eyelets.

The upper is vegetable-tanned calf leather in ebony; the tanning leaves the grain uneven on purpose, so no two hides read quite the same, and the colour deepens with every season worn. Leather laces and brass eyelets complete the closure, with a spare pair of laces included. A genuine-rubber sole runs underfoot, comfortable from first wear. Made in Italy.

It runs wide — most people take two sizes down from their usual sportswear size.

Includes an extra pair of leather laces.

Each pair comes with an extra set of leather laces, specially finished to achieve a supple yet substantial feel. They can be easily trimmed to the desired length, to refresh a product made to last.

Product Care

To care for your Buttero shoes, gently wipe away dirt with a damp cloth or sponge, then nourish the leather with a light application of natural wax, buffing with a soft cloth to restore its shine. Keep your shoes away from excessive heat or moisture. Should they get wet, blot away any excess water and allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature.
